Toys & Tins Appeal
Within my role at children services I have seen first-hand how much families and children love the gifts that they are given, many of whom would not receive anything due to the family’s own circumstances. This year due to coronavirus the request for support is bigger than normal and therefore we can do our little bit to share the love of Christmas to those in our community who need it.
There are 3 ways to give this year
1. You can buy a gift from Amazon, just follow the Toys and Tins Wish list link, pick a gift and it will get delivered to the distribution centre.
2. You can donate financially, just follow the JustGiving link, and the staff at the Salvation Army will use the money to buy food and toys that they can distribute.
3. You can buy a gift or some Christmas treat food and deliver it yourself to the Salvation Army Citadel in Norwich. You do need to call them beforehand to arrange a time to do this.
If you want to deliver your own gift, can you please make sure that it does not require batteries as these can be expensive to replace, also no DVDs or CDs can be accepted.
There is also a request for teenage presents, as this is the age group that they normally struggle to get donations for.
There is not a very long deadline for this, as Christmas is fast approaching, therefore please make any donations before 6th December, more information can be found on their Facebook page or please feel free to contact me.
Thanks
Priscilla
